Kellogg Co Reports Lower 4th Quarter Earnings
Published Thursday February 1, 2007 by Pat
The Kellogg Company reported lower fourth quarter earnings on Tuesday Jan 30. While retail sales in the snack unit continue to grow, sales in the cereal division are down 3%. Kellogg is blaming their profit loss on increasing commodities pricing in addition to inflation and rising fuel costs. The graph below shows Kellogg’s stock price. The letter D indicates the company’s announcement of the 4th quarter loss. The letter C most likely represents the word Cereal. I recommend that you go out and buy some Corn Pops, unless you want that blue line to continue to drop! (And no one wants that)
