Cereal in jeopardy?

Published Monday April 16, 2007 by Dan

Ken Jennings, Jeopardy winning streak holder, devoted Mormon, and apparent cereal lover has an interesting (if you are big on trivia like me) blog over at Ken-Jennings.com.  You can read about all sorts of crazy (boring?) stuff like this and this if you have the time.

While Joseph Smith and Alex Trebek are notable bad dudes in their own right, we at CerealBlogger are more interested in Mr Jennings’ thoughts on Wendell and Lucky.  In one notable blog entry, Ken draws parallels between the straight-laced comic book heroes of the DC universe to the lame as all hell mascots of the Kellogg’s branded cereals.  Superman is a boyscout, and Toucan Sam is a faggy little parrot who just wants to get his kids some Froot Loops (Ken’s sentiment not mine!).  Hop on over to the Marvel world though, and you’ll encounter the equivalent of General Mills’ nasty boys of breakfast.  Just like Wolverine would stab his momma in the vulva for a smoke, Sonny of Cocoa Puffs fame is so high on those chocolate rocks he’s peddling, that Tal Bachman… something, something.  Hey if anyone wants to be a writer for CerealBlogger your first assignment is to finish that joke.

Anyway, you can check out Ken Jennings’ complete thoughts on cereal characters and comic books right here.
