Canadian Artist Paints Landscapes on Cereal Boxes

Published Friday March 2, 2007 by Elliot

canadian_artistToronto artist, art critic and poet Gary Michael Dault likes to paint landscapes…on cereal boxes…in under a minute.”Rapidly he creates a horizon line, a sky, a sea or land and then an object like a floating corn pop island, Raisin Bran rocks or a cranberry moon.”

Sixty of these boxes are on exhibit at Gallery Page and Strange in a show called Sixty 1-Minute Paintings on Cereal Boxes. Gary is selling these paintings for $250 a piece. He is also planning a show in Hong Kong.

In unrelated news, I have restarted my project where I spray paint ziti boxes red and then smoosh bugs onto them. I will be selling them for $250 a piece.
