Beer and Milk have Celebrity Child: Bilk

On February 1st, Chitoshi Nakahara introduced Bilk to the world, a beer for the morning-minded. The idea was born out of concern for wasted surplus milk in Hokkaido, Japan. Brewed by the Abashiri brewery, Bilk contains 30% milk, though the production does not differ drastically from that of any other beer. Kaori Takahashi, a participant in a recent tasting session, was quoted in a Japanese paper saying, “It’s got a fruity taste.” Might I suggest starting your day with a bowl of Froot Loops and a tall glass of Bilk?

Oh my, I almost forgot about eBay roundup! It doesn’t look like there are any bottles of Bilk for sale…anywhere…so here is the next best thing: Jazz musician Mr. Archer Bilk’s advertising card. Seller vintage.port (100% positive rating) is looking to offload this beauty for only $4.99 + $1.78 shipping (USA). There are only a few hours left in this auction, so act now or kiss this one goodbye!
